April is a great month for growing vegetables here in New Orleans, and we've been harvesting like crazy at the farm. We're loving the variety of greens, roots, herbs, peas, squash and more that's coming off our fields. This is the season we've been waiting for, and it's not disappointing. Compostella is also back with baby greens after a few weeks off due to issues with their crop. So there's a lot in there and it's all delicious.
We're also super excited to be offering jams and pickles from Momma D, a longterm vendor at the ReFresh Market who makes very tasty preserves from local produce. You'll find the perfect dill pickles, pickled beets, strawberry jam and mango pepper jelly in our extras section along with Local Cooling eggs, Mycelium Express mushrooms, VEGGI tofu, our special hot sauces, and more.
Enjoy the bounty and get those shots!
PS - Please review our Farm Share FAQ section which now includes info on what to do if you don't pick up your farm share.
PPS - Strawberry availability is dependent on the weather this week, so stay tuned for an email if we are able to add them in the next day or so.
