Rain, wonderful rain. When the rain comes it means Todd gets to be with family in the evenings. Because we have to haul water from a pond to the sprinkler sites, countless hours are spent each night in a faint attempt to keep our crops alive. There is nothing that compares to a good old fashioned soaker from the sky. Now we'll watch the surrounding landscape just pop with vibrant color!
New in this week's box is lacinato kale, or dinosaur kale. We really like to sauté some in bacon grease and serve it with eggs on top for breakfast. The carrots are sizing up nicely so enjoy those orange beauties. We really hope you are enjoying eating fresh salads. We'll keep it coming. Someone may have spied the first tomatoes on the vine this week!
