Autumn Farming

Posted on August 16th, 2024 by Pedro Aponte

And just like that, fall is upon us. And while for many gardeners things are wrapping up, we are in our second spring doing a lot of planting, preparing the high tunnels for fall-winter growing, and setting up the greenhouse for winter production. Our goal this year is to have a good enough supply of storage crops and meats to sell at the farmers market and (ahem) our farm store during the winter months. We are also considering doing a short-term CSA in the spring, but this is all contingent on what we are able to produce in the next few months. Meanwhile, I have a favor to ask. If you have CSA boxes laying around, please make an effort to return them to us. We have used our supply of boxes for this year and would prefer not ordering another shipment before the end of the CSA season. Blessings from the homestead.
