We watched this pumpkin vine go across the path then up the deer fence. It then made it into an old apple tree, which has been renamed the Pumpkin tree. What would be the best if it had time to turn orange.

Farm Happenings for September 9, 2020
We are adding a new item this week, Toyko Bekane! An Asian green, it grows and looks like romaine lettuce, but has that pac choi taste. We are adding two recipe to go along with it, the original we found online and our version of the same recipe that worked with what we had at home.

This week we have added Colored Bull Horn sweet pepper, mustered greens and 1/2lb bags of basil as an option for you pesto lovers. The cukes are all but gone for the season, very sad. They will be replaced with arugula, radishes and spinach. read more »

This planting of cucumbers has finally fallen victim to mildew. There are more cukes planted to replace them, we will just have to see how long they hold out. Established in 2010, Strawberry Lane Produce is a small, family farm located in Conneaut Lake PA that uses environmentally friendly growing techniques including composting, mulching, and low-till methods, as well as, no synthetic chemicals.
