Hello Friends!
Here is a sneak peek at our wash/pack facility that we have been working on. Last August we erected the frame, poured concrete in March and Matt has been working to get walls up and a functional walk-in cooler for this summer. It’s been slow going and, unfortunately, we’ve seen the price of building materials rise throughout the process. Still, God is good and this space is a real blessing to us already! Prior to this we were using a small shipping container as a makeshift wash/pack shed. We aren’t done by any means. We still need to dry it in, install windows, electricity and garage doors. It’s a big step towards making small scale farming a sustainable reality for our family and it’s incredibly exciting!!
This week we will have some organic fruit from Washington state. At the moment (Friday) Deidre is in Washington picking up fruit that has been picked just this week! We will be selling yellow peaches, white peaches and nectarines. The window is short to get this fruit in season so take advantage of them while you can!
Looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces on Monday. God bless!
Matt, Deidre and the Farm Family
