Well, this week Matt and the kids are in Washington State for a family reunion and wedding while Deidre is holding the farm together herself. They took the big farm van on their trip in hopes of bringing home some of that amazing Washington fruit we all enjoyed last year (fingers crossed!) So, don't be confused when you see a minivan at the pickup this week instead of a Sprinter.
We had quite the torrential downpour of rain on Thursday night. Thankfully, it was short lived because it filled the yard behind the mini dike that Matt built a couple of years ago. He had created a spillway, to divert water around our large greenhouse. In the past, when we got rains like this, it has taken out entire sections of our field and greenhouse, as they sit in a low spot. We are so thankful everything worked the way it was intended to (especially Deidre, who would have been out there with a shovel in the rain trying to divert water, on damage control).
