Happy Holidays Everyone,
Today, Christmas Eve, we wind up our Elysian Hills Tree Farm sales and looks like we made it to the end with a few trees! We hate to turn anyone away that really needs a tree for the family holiday. Next weekend will be pickup number 5 for the winter CSA. Doesn't really seem like winter without a little snow but it does make traveling easier and the CSA flow smoother. We hope you are enjoying your boxes and will let us know if there are any problems so we can fix them. We still have a nice load of greens in our hoophouses even after the 14 degrees on Friday night so lots of good things coming. This week we'll be working on the flower seed order for next season so spring is on our minds. Nice to browse through the colorful flower catalogs on the gray winter days.
This week's menu to choose from: scallions, mesclun salad mix, spicy greens & arugula mix, cilantro, sweet potatoes, Daikon radish, Swiss chard, spinach, carrots, frozen ginger, blue gold potatoes, Napa cabbage, Bok choi, celery, collards, fennel and baby Bok choi. Not too bad for end of December/beginning of January. Hoping for a peaceful New Year and maybe a little less rain in July! Take care.
