Hurrah, it sure feels like we are past the worst of winter! Spring is still officially 4 weeks away, but we've had an early taste these last couple weeks. What a pleasure to be outside growing your tasty veggies! The newest high tunnel is ready to plant and we are soon to begin planting the first of the outdoor crops!
Now that we are past the worst of winter, we're back to weekly winter CSA deliveries from now until the end of the season. More sunshine and warmer temps are making the crops grow much faster than they did in mid January, so we should be able to supply you with fresh greens and roots every single week from now on out.
Spinach is looking gorgeous! Planning on planting even more of it in the new high tunnel today. We're close to the end of our fall-harvested storage carrots. Soon we'll be harvesting fall-sown fresh baby carrots with tops from the high tunnels. We need to eat through the stored ones first and give the babies another couple weeks to size up a bit.
