Hello members, hope everyone is loving this summer weather! Hot and humid weather are tough conditions but we are keeping up with irrigating.
This week starts our Fruit Shares and Cut Flower Shares!
Just a reminder our fruit is from Briemere Farms. They are one of the largest fruit farms on Long Island and specialize in sustainable agriculture and happen to be one of our neighbors. The fruit will be seasonal so we start with peaches, than plums, apples and pears and so on.
For our flower lovers; Make sure you change your water every day as flowers love fresh cold water. This will help them last. We will eventually be giving out a powder packet that you put in your water to keep your flowers vibrant longer. In the mean time, check out google and try a diy cut flower solution that may keep your bouquets lush and gorgeous even longer!
