Get it now. The cauliflower is all ready to harvest, and we are ready to eat it! We only planted this 1 patch of cauliflower plants, so there won't be any other cauliflower harvests until the fall season. Make sure that it is in your share this week, and add more if you love cauliflower. It stores well in the fridge, in a plastic bag- you might want to add a damp paper towel to the bag- and it will store for 7-10 days. Login and customize your share. Cauliflower is a big, beautiful plant with upright, silvery, blue-green leaves in the same family as kale, broccoli, and cabbage. Like broccoli and cabbage, the plant makes a head (hopefully a big one) and you make 1 cut to harvest- no return harvest. One and done for harvest time! We're growing for you! We’re growing for you!
Farmers Marie Williamson and William Lyons started Bluebird Farm in 2009 on the land that Marie grew up on in Morganton, North Carolina. They earn their livelihood growing food on the farm, and love the beauty of food and land. They are passionate about the art of grazing livestock, and they feed their meat hogs certified organic grains. They work hard to raise healthy, flavorful vegetables, pastured meats, and eggs using biological techniques that improve the health of their land and contribute to a diverse farm ecosystem.
