This week: arugula, organic, heirloom apples from Fox Gap Farm, and goat cheese from Forget Me Not Farm. The goat cheese is the best, creamiest chevre that I've ever had- 4 oz of chevre available in plain (perfect) or garden herb. We eat it almost daily. It is frozen (the texture and flavor are perfectly preserved we assure you!). Sorry, just like the meat, we can not sent goat cheese to the Morganton Natural Foods pickup due to refrigeration. Fall fields are being seeded and planted, and new herds of piglets are being brought out to the pastures. Some of the fields are bursting with little tiny shoots of nutritious, soil building cover crops, that will cover the soil this fall and incorporated into the soil for next year's plantings. Thank you for being a part of our beautiful, vibrant farm community; we’re proud of how much we all learned and developed this year on the farm and with our 1st year with the customizable farm membership through the Harvie platform. We hope the produce, eggs, pork, and beef you took home showed the love, sweat, and farming knowledge we poured into it. Please look for the emails about our fall season and the auto renew setting that you received earlier today if auto renew is turned on in your account.

About the farm
We love sharing our passion for good farm food! Eating fresh, vibrant veggies and delicious, flavorful farm meats is an easy choice with Bluebird Farm’s customizable veggie, beef, and pork boxes. Taste the difference with local farm food. We believe that food should be grown with biological methods that improve the health of the land, plants, and animals while sustaining the farmers that grow your food. Our greatest passion is to grow delicious food for you and your family while caring for the land.
We’re growing for you!
Farmers Marie Williamson and William Lyons started Bluebird Farm in 2009 on the land that Marie grew up on in Morganton, North Carolina. They earn their livelihood growing food on the farm, and love the beauty of food and land. They are passionate about the art of grazing livestock, and they feed their meat hogs certified organic grains. They work hard to raise healthy, flavorful vegetables, pastured meats, and eggs using biological techniques that improve the health of their land and contribute to a diverse farm ecosystem.
