The first signs of autumn are upon us. The sun is later to rise each morning, the first leaves are turning color and falling from the trees, and tomatoes are winding down.
Many other crops continue to come on strong: Peppers are finally plentiful. Patty pan squash are quite nice, as are cucumbers. We look forward to harvesting ground cherries for at least another month. Lettuces and cooking greens thrive in cooler weather.
We weeded broccoli and cabbage today and anticipate a super harvest in a few weeks. Radishes and kohlrabi are also on the horizon.
We hope you're enjoying this tour of seasonal produce.
