Week 12
Wow, it's kinda hard to believe, but we're halfway through this year's main season CSA! It's not entirely hard to believe for us here at the farm, because a few of us have been at it since the very beginning of the year, getting greenhouses ready and starting our seedlings. But we are happy to be moving through the Summer months and preparing for an excellent Fall season. This week we mowed down our first planting of watermelon and cantaloupes and have started picking some amazing melons and cantaloupes from our second planting. With the cooler nights this past week, we are still waiting on our second planting of watermelons to ripen and sweeten up, so we will pause on those for this week. Our weekly weather forecast is looking to be nice and hot, which is exactly what the melons need to develop their signature sweetness.
