Hello to you all. Hope this newsletter finds you all cozy and warm this Fall Day. We are certainly feeling the effects of a fall. Will be cold for the trick and treaters. Layer up, and hope for no repeats of the 1991 Halloween snowstorm with its 3' of snow. Busy and complicated week here on the farm. Had 3 of the 4 employees out for various planned and unplanned reasons. The cold weather hit with a sudden force, but we had the help of the entire 6th grade middle schoolers from Cumberland, WI on Friday afternoon. They helped plant micro greens, pick broccoli and Brussels sprouts and haul all the winter squash and potted plants into the greenhouses for safe keeping. Active and fun bunch. I bet they slept good on Friday night after consuming all that fresh air!
Other stuff.... for many of you this is week 19 of 20 weeks on the farm share program. Please return any lingering boxes to your drop site. We thank you for supporting the farm share program.
We are offering a unique succulent pumpkin centerpiece or a large porch succulent pumpkin for Thanksgiving /Fall decorating. You can place your order this week and it will be delivered next week. Gail makes them to order. Please email her for additional requests.
