Hello friends, and welcome to week SEVEN! Here at Perigee, we are revelling in the absolute height of the flower season- everything is bursting and the field is an absolute riot of color! Dahlia deadheading has become a full time job and almost all of my varieties have started to bloom- it is especially thrilling to see the new ones I added this year- most of which are tones of honey and orange- a perfect representation of this time of year. Cosmos and zinnias are starting to go off as well- expect to see lots of these in shares this week, in addition to a more robust serving of dahlias. Grab your biggest vase and get ready for a hefty bouquet! The cooler weather has made many of the plants very happy, and they are rewarding us with lots and lots of blooms. I can't wait to share. In other news- save the date for September 11- I'll be holding a pop- up flower shop at the Basecamp Bar & Grill that afternoon/evening (more details to come!)- making hand-tied bouquets, flower crowns, and arrangements on site. This will be the week before our last share- I'd love the chance to connect with you in person if I haven't already- so grab your sweetie or a pal for a bite to eat and let me make you something beautiful before the weather turns!- Clare
