We're offering grapes again this week (from Mak's Blueberry Patch in Iola), probably for the last time this season. These little treats may seem a little tart at first, but they do ripen and sweeten up over a few days. Their strawberry-like flavor is unlike that of any grapes you'll find at the store. Melon season is slowing down. We'll have a few more watermelons available in the next week or two, but not as many as we've had. And the honeydews are probably making their final appearance. Try one while you can. After a long wait, the sweet red, orange, and yellow bell peppers are available in abundance. New this week: leeks!
