Hello Members!

This is your friendly weekly reminder that the farm stand is open now until Monday morning at 8am to place your orders for next week’s pick up’s and deliveries.

Every week we walk through the garden to estimate next week's harvest.  This time of year is the most exciting as there are suddenly so many little seedlings emerging and growing.  This year in addition to all of the veggies we have also planted a variety of cutting flowers so that we can offer you a U-Pick Flower option later in the season (we estimate early July).  Most of the flowers are still babies (they will grow fast!) but we are amazed by the dahlias.  Last season we carefully pulled them out of the ground, divided the tubers and stored them through the winter.  When we planted them this spring they grew tall and strong and so quickly that we were worried they would be too big to plant out.  Luckily this week there was just the right amount of gentle rain to help them settle in to their new bed.

This week you will see some more variety of delicious spring flavours.  We are also offering a small number of quail eggs.  We are limited in the number of egg-laying chickens that we can keep but we see in the weekly orders how popular the eggs are.  There are no limits to the number of egg laying quails or ducks that we can keep.  If you are interested in these products, let us know; we could consider expanding our quail egg production or buying some new egg laying ducks.

Wishing everyone a great week.

Your Farmers,

Kate and Greg.
