Farm Happenings for Week of September 8, 2020

Posted on September 2nd, 2020 by Harvie Admin

I hope some of you are enjoying fresh flowers from your Harvie Farms box. We were very excited to offer small bouquets for the first time from Sol Patch Gardens in Pittsburgh. Collette and her crew do an awesome job, and we are excited to support them. These pictured gomphrena can also be dried and enjoyed for weeks on end. Be sure to opt for the flowers before they sell out.

It's September and new seasonal items keep rolling in: colored bell peppers, habanero hot peppers, gala apples, and bartlett pears for example. And other items are on their way out. Enjoy the watermelons and nectarines before they are gone for the year. And if there is a produce item you wish we carried that you haven't seen yet, please feel free to email me: neil@harvie.farm. We love your feedback.

NEW THURSDAY ZIP CODES As our capacity grows, we continue to make some adjustments to our delivery schedule. Starting this week Thursday delivery will include 15206, 15208, 15217, and 15232. You can check your upcoming delivery days by going to your profile here: https://www.harvie.farm/member/deliveries

PRODUCT PREFERENCES As we keep adding new products to our weekly lists, that means it's helpful for you to update your preference list. In case you don't know where to do that, please use this link which takes you to the appropriate page in your profile. The more your set your preferences, the better you will enjoy your boxes. https://www.harvie.farm/member/preferences

WINTER SHARES In case you missed the announcement, we will be continuing Harvie Farms Pittsburgh farm shares throughout the winter. Hooray! We will be in touch about that process, but rest assured we will make it as easy as we can to continue your membership beyond November.

Enjoy September. It's one of the best in my opinion.
