Excited to begin working with Gary from Brenckles Organic Farm in Zelienople. The farm has been operating since 1949, and we are excited that they have certified organic products to add to your Harvie Farms orders. This week they will be supplying us with lots of garlic (pictured).
WINTER SHARES We want to make sure you know that we're not going away when the seasons change. While the types of products will evolve quite a bit, we plan to continue providing the best of what we can offer from our local farm partners as well as some specialty products from farm direct relationships we are working on outside of Pittsbugh as well.
NEW ITEMS While the summer bounty continues for now, we have started experimenting with some new products on the list too. Be sure to dig around to look for them. This week they include chocolate milk, cream, and a new medium roast organic/fair trade coffee.
CHEESE SHARE Temptation by Lori and Rex at Hidden Hills Dairy in Everett, PA. A cold water wash before molding gives this cheese a smooth, creamy texture. Surprise your tastebuds by pairing it with a gingersnap!
RETURN PACKAGING For the new folks among our members: please know that we love getting the packaging that is in good shape back again. Just flatten the cardboard box and stack your ice packs on top of the folded thermal liner. We will be glad to take all three pieces. And if the courier misses picking them up, please let us know so we can cover that detail with them.
