Coffee of the Week: KLVN Coffee Lab's Las Luces Blend

An homage to starlight, sacred candles, fireworks, prom-lights, and the mystery of the sun, Las Luces is casual and reliable with an added wash of wonder. This is like a specialty - sweeter, cleaner, and more sustainably produced - version of the coffee from the short stories of Raymond Carver. Constituent components are sourced and roasted to accentuate body and soften the acid profile.
Bread of the Week: Mediterra Bakehouses's Rustic Italian
Our Rustic Italian is a testament to the Italian philosophy that a few simple, fresh ingredients often yield the best most flavorful results. This hearty, dense rustic Italian loaf is the traditional bread of Northern Italy. It has a crusty but tender exterior and a chewy, slightly closed crumb, making it qualified for encasing all of the elements of your favorite sandwich, or as a breakfast toast topped with fresh fruit preserves. Or, grab some fresh, creamy butter, slather it on a thick slice, and enjoy it all on its own.

Has COVID-19 changed the way we eat?
COVID-19 has touched our lives, society, and families in innumerable ways. We've all changed so much about our day-to-day in the past year and are wondering which changes will stay with us when we go back to "normal". Harvie has been asking those questions too. What will the new normal look like? How can we all work together to build a strong, resilient food system where we can buy food from people we know and trust?
We decided to find out how you see the future of food for your family. In January we launched an online survey with more than 2,000 responses. Consumers reported higher interest in supporting local farmers, cooking at home, and having their groceries delivered to their house.
Results:
- 76.5% have an increased desire to support local farmers and suppliers into the future
- 80% of survey respondents are cooking at home more since the pandemic started
- 60% intend to continue to cook at home more
- 58% have an increased interest in home-delivered groceries
Harvie CEO, Simon Huntley sees these results as a pivotal moment in the movement to change the way the world eats and build more resilient food systems. "The pandemic has shown us all the value of community, caring for our neighbor, and staying healthy," says Huntley. "This has accelerated shifts in the ways families are sourcing their food. And now it's up to farmers, producers, and small businesses to harness this momentum to give consumers what they want and create lasting change in our food system."

At that point, we'll send your orders to our farmers and artisans, and they will begin to pick and pack your delivery for the following week!
