Harvie Farms Pittsburgh Week of 4/26/2021

Posted on April 21st, 2021 by Derek Dumont

Coffee of the Week: Passenger Coffee's Agaro Ethiopia

At once remarkably complex and subtle, our current Agaro lot is soft and nuanced with stone fruit and bergamot aromatics. In the cup one finds citrus, tea rose, cocoa, and caramel underpinned by a raw honey-like sweetness.

Bread of the Week: Mediterra Bakehouse's Farm Pain au Levain

Considered the quintessential French sourdough bread. To give ours its rich and complex flavor, we mix wheat and white flour, then add our levain sourdough starter. Its honeycomb crumb and delicate tang make it very versatile. The Farm bread is the perfect complement to a soup or stew, and it makes a delicious sandwich.
