Farm Happenings for May 5, 2020

This week we started on some weeding and cultivation of the first planted crops of 2020. Other tasks included trellising peas, seeding winter squash, potting up celeriac, and plowing more cover crop under for summer plantings. Fava beans and snap peas are starting to flower, cucumbers flowers not far behind. Not much new this week but we do have a fresh patch of salad mix and radishes coming on, so there is plenty of those to go around. We have some young fava bean greens bunches--great for quick sautée and tossed with pasta, or chopped up in a salad. Thanks everyone, see you Tuesday!
