Did you know, onions grow nice and tall with their straight green stalks and then, over a fairly short period of time, the stalks all fall over. This is how you know that they're ready for curing. We've had the early onions so far this season with the stalks still attached, but we've noticed that some are starting to fall over, so it's almost curing time. To cure onions, we just pick them and place them in a dry place out of direct sunlight and not piled up. Then the tops shrivel up and the outer layers turn papery, after which we just cut off the tops and voila, cured onions!

About the farm
We left the hustle and bustle of city life to raise our children in the country. Getting into agriculture is a decision we've never regretted! Now we lovingly grow fresh food together as a family on our small farm. It's food we trust, and you can too! We want to feed our children the best we can, so we grow high-quality fruits, vegetables, and meats - everything from Arugula to Zucchini; Chicken and pork! - all free of chemicals, synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. We'd love to share what we grow with you!
