We're in the thick of full on farm work now: harvesting, packing orders, delivering plus continuing our summer plantings like peppers, squash, tomatoes, and lettuce in addition to all the weeding, trellising, grass cutting, weedeating...... the never ending maintenance of it all. Although the work load is heavy, this perfect spring weather has been a gift, plus the rains have been timely which is a nice change from the extremely wet winter we're coming out of. These are the kind of days we can have Tulsi out with us to do some work. Once summer's uncomfortable heat and humidity set in, we won't subject her to the misery of baking in the sun but we're all enjoying having her join us in the field occasionally now. She's pictured here with her 2nd favorite spring snack (after strawberries of course!), a sweet Asian turnip plucked fresh from the ground. She happily colored and ate while Jenny got a bed of arugula seeded.
