We finally have enough strawberries for everyone to get a pint! This has not been a good strawberry year for us. We were not able to cover one of the two fields in December when it got to single digits, and we seem to be seeing the damage now because the unprotected field is producing only 1/4 of what the other one is. We should be swimming in berries right now! It has been disappointing....we know everyone wants more berries! BUT it looks like they may just be behind as there are plenty of flowers and green fruit on the plants now. Hopefully the mild weather will continue and we'll get a good harvest for several more weeks. Once it reaches the mid 80s, they'll stop blooming so here's hoping this gorgeous spring weather continues! Thanks for your patience and understanding that we are working with mother nature and can only control so much......
