As I walked through the garden this morning I noticed how well our little sprouts are doing. We have put in fall turnips, cover crops, and lots of our kale and broccoli have sprouted after going to seed. With mulch over the beds the soil is able to maintain a comfortable temperature and moisture content to provide for quality growing conditions for the seeds. All this even at a time when we are bringing in outside water to keep other plants alive!
So good to see some hope rising from the decay! It always seems to come when I have considered giving up.
