We're running the same plan as last year for urban farm food beyond October, 2021. We'll continue weekly baskets until we sell out. It's possible we'll have enough to take you all the way to the end of the year. If you have Auto-renew on in your account, you won't need to do anything to keep getting veggies from us. If you have AR switched off, turning it on will get you signed up. We'll let you know before we renew accounts for the extended season. And, if you have any trouble with account we'll work with you to resolve it. All of our extras will also be available to purchase with your veggies. A taste of shares to come will be included in this week's share: daikon radish. Daikon tempts us to new eating adventures, both raw and cooked. Here's some of our favourites:
daikon oroshii: finely grate and serve mixed through or atop salad or in soysauce as a dip
simmered daikon: cube or slice daikon into rounds or crescents, simmer in soy sauce and water until tender
daikon slaw: grate radish and add to cabbage, beets, carrots and so on for a mondo-slaw
salted daikon: slice daikon 2mm thick, salt and let sit. serve a few minutes later
daikon stir-fry: cube daikon and add to stir-fry a few minutes after onions
cubed-daikon over soup: cube daikon in small 5mm cubes and serve atop soup/stew
