This may not be much of a farm happening, but I know it is something that we have all been living through together. Working and living through the restrictions on gathering, fun and life has been tricky and down right hard for many people. And we have felt it too, Family in the hospital we are unable to visit, new family members we aren't allowed to hold, weddings cancelled or postponed. No school or daycares meant I had to quit my job last year as I was coming off of maternity leave, and the kids with less structure and only each other to play with. At least with the nicer summer weather we are busy in the garden, the kids are forced to play outside more. Large muddy cities, toys and bicycles scattered across the yard, Cory's tools discarded carelessly beside holes in the dirt, hundreds of toe and forehead pictures in my phone. And though this all sounds wonderful, we also struggle with screen time, work life balance, and the fighting that will happen with 3 little kids. But I just thought I'd let you know, and though it may sound tired, over used, and possibly a bit empty at this point, but we are in this together, and can't wait to be over this together.
