Hello there,
What a lovely week of sunshine and rain, all this steady rain and sunshine is doing wonders for the veggies and the weeds. We have lots of weeding and planting to do still, but it is awesome to see the beds fill up, and emptying as the markets and CSA has started.
This week will be a little different then most. My youngest sister is getting married this Saturday so I will not be there this week. However, lovely Lisa, from Barnarrow Farm, has graciously agreed to drive the trailer to the market Saturday morning and drop all the pre packaged shares at the market. The trailer will be in our normal location, at the corner of Mill and Main st, and I hope not too inconvenient to hop inside, but you will find your labeled bag inside with all your goodies.
Things coming up at the farm. Cabbage, kale, broccoli and peas are coming along. Next week we take our meat chickens to the butcher, so if you have signed up for the Meat Share next week, there will be fresh chicken in it as well as frozen beef, such as ground, T-Bone and Sirloin Tip steaks. We are also picking up our little turkey babies next week, so keep us in mind for all your turkey and thanksgiving needs this fall.
