Power and Produce. Can't have one without the other.
We hope everyone is safe and warm and has the lights on. We got lucky on Kentucky with no major damage, just a toppled olive tree and a porto-potty that needed to be righted (sounds grosser than it was). Our cold storage power came back on Thursday morning, so no product was spoiled.
With that said, we understand that some of you may not have power right now and might not be sure if you'll be able to take on veggies on Tuesday if you don't have a working fridge. You should feel free to hold your share this week if that's the case, or if you need to cancel last minute, you can email us by Monday night.
We've got lots of greens for you this week, so I hope you're hungry and ready for fresh food. Plus 100% natural satsumas and Meyer lemons from Isabelle's Citrus Orchard, eggs, tofu, jam, my special pea shoot pesto, and pasta! (Unfortunately our mushroom suppliers lost everything growing when the power went out, so that will be off the list for a couple weeks.)
Be safe, take care of each other, see you Tuesday.
