Our Kentucky St farm is overflowing with beautiful greens and herbs right now. It's hard to believe that in as little as a couple weeks, some of it will be a construction site for a new home the landlord is building. Fortunately, the construction is taking place on the far end of the property, away from the gate and where all of our infrastructure is, but it will be a big change for sure. It will reduce our growing space and change the feel of the place. This has been in the works for awhile, but it seems like it's really going to happen soon, so we're harvesting what's planted in that area and aren't planting anything else there. The hazards of urban farming!
In farm share news, we've got an excellent array of veggies for you this week. There's lots of greens, including amazing lettuce (cut and head), luscious herbs, and more. The dry weather over the last week means the return of strawberries (hooray!) from Faust Farm. Also in the extras section: eggs, mushrooms, tofu, and more. We'll be getting some more preserved products soon too, so keep an eye out for that coming next week.
Have a great week!
