Greetings from the farm,
I hope everyone has had a great week. This week as been a different week this week. Instead of being home working on the farm I have been up in Columbus working on policy issues that effect our farm as part of my Farm Bureau role. Although it is different part of farming that many people don't think about it is important for the future of our kids and their roles in agriculture. The weather this week as been crazy too. Cold and snowing at the beginning of the week and now thunderstorms. All I know is that we will be needing boots all week for all the mud.
This week we are on Week 9 can you believe that. So that means only two more weeks left.. We still have plenty to choose from some it is do to having enough storage from our winter squash and potatoes this year. Taking about winter squash if you are getting acorn squash you will be getting our Autumn frost (brown looks sort of like butternut)or Carnival(stripes) Acorn squashes that is because they seem to be holing up better for storage than our plain old green Acorn squash. We also have Hams that we will be adding to the add to extra pages if any one is looking for a Christmas ham. The smaller ones are about 4 to 5 pounds and the large one are about 10 pounds. They are cured and smoked and our from our pigs.
Hope everyone has great week,
The Schultz Family
