Farm Happenings for September 16, 2022

Greetings from the farm,

I hope everyone is doing well. This week fall is officially here with winter squash, pumpkins, apples and our greens. We have been busy this week and have made great progress on the new high tunnel. We spent last Saturday after market planting strawberries and on next planting of greens and root crops for the fall CSA season. Also our winter CSA program is officially open and you can sign up anytime. Just sign up like you did in the spring by adding a new CSA. The fall CSA will run from the week after fair until the week before Christmas so 10 weeks in total.

Please note I will be out of town on Friday. So cut off time for this week is Thursday evening, so I can get everything together for Josh to pick and to pack on Friday. Thank you

Josh and Lynne farm with their four kids in the rolling hills in Bremen OH. Our family believes in producing farm fresh quality products for consumers in the local community. We believe it is important for consumers to know where their food comes from as well as educating consumers about the important role that agriculture plays in the community. As being young farmers it is important for us to work towards providing sustainable agriculture to the community. As our operation continues, we believe it is important to become more efficient in what we are doing not only to save us time but help preserve and maintain the environment around us. Our farm continues to work and improve on conservation practices to help maintain a positive relationship between the farming operation, wildlife, and land around us.
