We think we set a new pickup percentage record despite the "bomb cyclone" and the holiday weekend so thank you very much! Vermonters are a hardy bunch and for those of you who have recently moved here - you no longer can be considered a "flatlander". Friends of ours lost greenhouses in the strong winds up north so we were extremely lucky that some of our structures are not now located in New Hampshire. For the first time in 8 years we ran out of Christmas trees at our tree farm on Thursday but it would have been hard to strap trees to car rooftops on Friday.
There will be no changes to the pickup days this week but let us know if you need to swap days. This week we'll be offering scallions, fennel, collards and gold beets in limited amounts plus extra carrots if you'd like them. The Harvie system randomizes limited items in its algorithm so you may not get something you like one week but something you do like that's limited the next time. For extras this week we'll again have Glabach maple syrup, honeycrisp apples from Green Mountain Orchard, 2 lb. bags of our frozen organic sweet corn and a few dozen of organic eggs proudly brought to you by the Walker Farm chicken team.
The weather looks quite a bit warmer for the end of next week which will make it a lot easier for our crew and for you to enjoy the New Year!
