Farm Happenings for August 14, 2024

Posted on August 11th, 2024 by Trent Loewen

Even farmers get to take a break sometimes! We took the weekend off to go camping, and spent two relaxing days of fishing, canoeing, and cooking over the fire.

This week we’ll be picking the second planting of snap peas and the first of the beans. It’s hard to tell how much there’ll be for beans yet, so check the quantity available Monday evening. The celery is also looking great, so we’ll harvest some this week too.

I finally got a response from Harvie, and got the box values straightened out. So you’ll notice that Harvie will build your box to full value.

Your box will be built automatically with only produce in it but everything else is available to swap in. Besides the produce, there is pasture-raised eggs, organic whole wheat flour from Wyatt Organic Farm, fresh baking (baked by my Mom), refrigerator pickles, and our homemade ranch dressing.

As always, if you have any trouble with swapping or anything else, you’re welcome to call/text or email. Trent - 306-883-8832, Lois - 306-883-9289. Also the folks at Harvie are happy to help, reach them at support@harvie.farm.

Have a great week!
