Farm Happenings for October 9, 2024

Posted on October 6th, 2024 by Trent Loewen

Happy Thanksgiving! We’re very grateful for how well this season has gone in spite of the rough start in June and early July. Also, we thank YOU so much for your support, and for choosing us to supply you with fresh, local food!

This is the final week of Farm Shares, so now is the time to stock up. The only thing is that the potatoes and onions are not fully cured, so I can’t offer them in sacks yet. Look for them in the coming weeks on our Local Line store! (email with the link coming later).

Lots of peppers this week! Green bell peppers, green bull’s horn peppers (sweet), poblanos (very mild chili), jalapenos, and Hot Hungarian Wax. What we like to do is dice up quantities of peppers, any kind, and throw them in the freezer in recipe-sized bags.

Thanks again, and watch for those emails on the next steps as we transition from Harvie to Local Line!
