Vote 2020: The stalks have never been higher!
Every year Warner Farm hosts our annual corn maze, Mike's Maze, and welcomes the public to our farm for some good ole' fashioned Fall Fun! This year will be no different despite the unique circumstances the year has brought us. We pride ourselves on being a family farm focused on providing for the community that we have been a part of for the past 300 years. Our corn maze is a big event that folks look forward to each year and come from miles around to enjoy. We figured if there was ever a year that people needed a little extra joy and something familiar in their lives, it is 2020. So, here we are once again, excitedly preparing our farm for the public and welcoming folks into the corn starting on Friday, September 11th.
Our maze this year is titled 'VOTE 2020'; and serves as an encouragement to all, but also a celebration of our history. One hundred years ago in 1920, the decades-long battle for women’s suffrage was finally realized with the passing of the 19th amendment. Fifty-five years ago, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was passed, prohibiting racial discrimination in voting. We’ve designed 8-acres of campaign trails in honor of these landmark achievements in our country’s history. From straw polls to donut holes, we invite you to celebrate democracy—socially-distanced—at Mike’s Maze with us this fall! Check out our website to reserve your tickets. We hope to see you there!
