Hurray, February is almost over and the great polar vortex has receded! Thanks for bearing with us delaying the pickup into last week. It took some time to assess the damage and bounce back a little. The last week of warmer weather has really given us new hope that spring really is on the way! We can see the faster growth starting to happen in the tunnels and we're even getting ready to plant our first crops of the year outside!!!! It's about to get busy around here!
Winter CSA pickups will be every week from now on till the last winter pickup on April 22nd/23rd, then we'll be going right into the summer CSA starting the following week. If you haven't signed up for summer, you're going to want to do that soon. We're very close to selling out for the season.
Bread Shares This week will be: 8-grain sliced, and Italian for artisan loaves. Hopefully you got the memo that for the summer CSA we're going to combine the artisan and sliced into a single "bread share" which will allow us to alternate between sliced and non-sliced loaves and provide more variety week to week. But for winter, we're sticking with the original plan. Thanks to some member suggestions we're talking with Hemme Brothers about doing an actual cheese share this summer, so stay tuned for that!
Thank you so much for supporting our farm this winter. We know there are other options for getting groceries. We're happy to grow great healthy food for you. Thanks for doing what you do with what we grow!
Your farmers,
Dave and Sheri
