This week, we're heading out on vacation but your CSA share will still be at its normal pickup spot thanks to our amazing crew. We're a family farm but we do have some amazing ladies that help us out each week and this week they'll be putting in some extra sweaty hours to allow us to skip town for several days. Christi, Ruth, Lisa, Maggie and Corrie will be finishing up the harvest and packing this week as well as making the deliveries and doing CSA distributions at all the normal locations. So, we'll miss out on seeing ya'll but you'll get to meet some of our favorite people in the process. I know you'll give them some extra grace as they fill in for us and try to figure out where to park the van or how to spell your last names. Thanks in advance!
We're headed out to Colorado to visit family, do some hiking, probably do some whitewater rafting, and maybe climb a 14er--Lots of outdoor stuff. I got to admit, we're looking forward to the lower humidity and cooler nights. We're super bummed that it's going to be 100 while we're gone, 'cause we hate to leave the crew to sweat without us! We're super indebted to these ladies to make it possible for us to break away mid-season like this!
Once we're back from CO, it'll be time to start transplanting fall crops into the ground and doing all the big fall crop seeding in the field. This is our chance!
