This is what happens when you leave your high tunnel open during a freak storm and you are out of town. Damage and destruction are hard but part of the inevitabilities of farming. We should be able to salvage some of the parts, order replacements, and rebuild stronger and better. We farm on, thankful that no one was harmed. Last week we forgot to say welcome to our new members for this season! We hope you appreciate the journey or urban farming alongside us and the delicious produce that is made possible through your support. Enjoy your share!

About the farm
At Zawadi Farm, our aim is to create physical and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food and to engage community members in educational opportunities and conversations centered around active and healthy living.
We rehabilitate Toronto backyards and convert them into living growing spaces for nutrient-rich, organic locally grown seasonal vegetables.
