Dear Zawadi Farm Family,
We are excited to welcome new and returning members to another bountiful year at Zawadi Farm. Your unwavering support fuels our mission to nurture a community deeply rooted in local agriculture. It's an honor to serve you our finest locally-grown organic produce.
Exciting Developments for 2024:
We're delighted to announce our partnerships with Ubuntu and Sarn Farms this year. These collaborations have expanded our reach and enhanced our offerings, allowing us to serve more supporters and participate in five additional farmers' markets. You can now find us at the Wychwood Market, St. Lawrence Market, Leslieville Market, and Widthrough Farmers Markets, and we also have pickups from our Downsview Park Location.
Together, we are more committed than ever to enriching our small-scale farmer network, bringing you a wider variety of produce and more convenient access points.
Increased Local Food Access:
Our efforts to improve local food access have also grown. We're working closely with local food hubs to deliver our produce to more communities, especially those affected by income disparities. Please visit our updated Harambee Collective page for detailed information on these initiatives.
Logistics Updates:
We've updated our delivery schedule to Fridays and Saturdays to navigate city traffic and construction delays better. Additionally, our farmers' market locations now serve as convenient pickup points for your orders.
Education and Community Outreach:
Zawadi Farm continues to grow in produce and community impact. We are excited to offer workshops and training for aspiring growers across the city, as well as visit schools and organizations to inspire and educate new farmers. Discover more about these efforts on our Growing Growers and Land Stewards Initiative pages.
We are incredibly grateful for your continued support. We are excited to embark on this year's journey with you, strengthening our community ties and furthering our commitment to sustainable local farming.
Thank you for being an essential part of our community. Here’s to a year of growth, community, and exceptional produce!
Warm regards,
Jessey Njau, Founder
