We’re halfway through the season and excited to share some updates on what’s been happening at Zawadi Farm!
1. Harvest Bounty:
The fields are bursting with fresh produce, and we’re thrilled to deliver the best of the season to your doorsteps. This month, you can look forward to juicy heirloom tomatoes, crisp greens, sweet corn, and abundant herbs. Our zucchini and summer squash are also in full swing, adding color and flavor to your shares.
2. New Partnerships:
We’re excited to announce that we’ve joined forces with Ubuntu and Sarn Farms, expanding our variety and increasing our reach. This collaboration allows us to bring even more diversity to your CSA boxes while supporting our fellow local farmers.
3. Farmers' Market Presence:
In addition to your weekly CSA deliveries, you can now find Zawadi Farm at four farmers’ markets: Wychwood, St. Lawrence, Withrow, and Leslieville. Stop by and say hello if you’re in the area—we’d love to see you!
4. Educational Workshops:
Our workshops on sustainable gardening and food preservation have been a hit! We’re planning more sessions in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on your inbox for dates and details. These are great opportunities to learn more about how your food is grown and how to make the most of your CSA share.
5. Community Impact:
We’re proud to share that, through our partnerships, we’re now providing fresh produce to local food hubs across the city. Your support helps us give back to the community, making healthy, organic food accessible to more people.
