Another dry week is in the books, and I don't like it. It is the driest we have ever seen during potato harvest time, and we are close do doing the unthinkable, irrigate the fields before harvest. It is what it is and we will get by.
Also, did you see the Northern lights this week? We did and I'm not crossing it off the bucket list because it seems fishy to me, and I still want to go to Iceland.
This weekend is the Country Fair down by the river front in Riverhead, and their is a fun pumpkin craft contest for kids of all ages to enter. Also, backyard gardeners can enter different vegetable and fruit contests to see who has the best looking goods.
