Happy Tuesday! As you know, we feature mostly what we grow on our farm. This CSA program is a great incentive for us to be able to upkeep the farm and add more options. We also like to help out our local farm neighbors by supporting our friends like they support us by purchasing our produce, too. This week we have broccoli to add to our inventory list! They look amazing and they're featured at $2.00 a head. Our greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers are also ready for this week. Outside of the CSA program, we are selling our Kale at $10 a box which is the same size as the boxes you receive your CSA in. If you are interested or know anybody that would like a huge amount of kale, please email Christina at chouston@bma.us.

About the farm
Founded in 1955, agriculture was a key component of Blue Mountain Academy school program. BMA operated a farm and dairy through the mid-90’s when it shut its farm down due to financial difficulties. In 2012, the school board voted to return to its roots and restart its agriculture program. Starting with a couple of greenhouses and a small vegetable garden, this program has expanded to include, laying hens, approximately 3 acres of veggie gardens, berries, herbs, orchards, herbs, bees, hay, and grain crops. In 2017 a portion of the farm became certified organic, and in 2019 the remaining fields were certified as well.
