Happy New Year!! We hope you have had a safe and happy holidays. What a great way to start the New year with a fresh box of organic produce. So many believe that how you begin the new year is how the rest of the year will be. Starting out healthy is definitely a nice beginning.
Our green houses are still doing wonderful with collards, kale, beets, carrots, and swiss chard. Plenty of greens to help boost the immune system. Some of you may even be thinking about starting the year with a detox cleanse. here is a popular recipe:
- 10 kale leaves
- Small handful spinach leaves
- 1 cucumber
- 2 granny smith apples
- 1 inch piece fresh ginger
- 1/2 lime
You can substitute spinach for swiss chard and a bunch of carrots for the apples. The carrots will give a fuller feeling and is great for the skin. Some juice first thing in the morning, others will juice all day and others just do it a few times a week. Always listen to your body's system to know what's best for you. I know many of our subscribers have ordered full boxes of kale last winter for their juicing needs. We're happy to have more options to try. If you need more greens in between shares, please let us know and we can prepare a small order.
Last week, we scheduled the deliveries for Thursday. This week, we will be keeping our normal routine. However, if you would like your box earlier, please message me at chouston@bma.us and I can get your order done by Thursday. If you do want your box early, please make sure to customize your box before messaging.
Also, Harvie has an Auto-renew feature for our members. When our new season begins, our current members will be automatically enrolled so you don't have to fill out a new form each season. This is a great feature for our members. As we get closer to our new season starting, we will be sending out reminders. If you would like to make sure you're enrolled or opt out of the Auto Renew program, please go to your profile, click on "my profile" at the top, then click "auto-renew settings".
