- We unfortunately had 2 of our delivery drivers fall last delivery week on icy walks ways, one with very serious injuries.
- We understand weather & accidents happen but it you could please keep the areas clear & our delivery drivers safe, we would really appreciate it.

SUMMER SEASON SIGN UP-Open to the public!
- If you haven't sign up yet, you may want to do so as the public now has access to sign ups

Hydroponics are Back!
- Links Greenhouse has began harvesting again.
- Their seasons has just begun so eventually you will see more quantity available. It will be slow to start.
- lettuce, cucumbers, Tomatoes, flat beans, peppers etc will be coming on over the next weeks/months.
- The LISA to LISA Team!
- Our very own LISA Cooper has been connecting with LISA Mulders of Link Greenhouse in Bowmanville for almost 2 decades!
- These two farm owners are definitely powerhouses in the local Ag Community and make a great duo. They make getting you fresh, locally produced greenhouse items possible in the winter months (and summer too!)
Feb 23rd is Canadian Ag day
- This is a big day for our industry to celebrate all of the great things happening in our sector!
- No matter what style of farming, large or small, our Food production industry is amazing

What are we up to at our farm?
Maple Syrup Season!
- We are getting close to the beginning of maple syrup season!
- Weather dependant- some years we can start as early as the last week of Februrary.
- The days need to get just above zero ( 5-6 degrees-ish) then get below zero for sap to run.
- We will be getting the sugar shack ready for boiling season!
- Who's excited for that !!

CSA MEAT PROGRAM GETTING A HUGE CHANGE UP-Summer 2021 Season
- Our current way of operating our meat CSA is having individual shares based on what type of meat (beef, pork, or chicken) and you get a select number of cuts a month
- Our new way will have all the meat in one share. Less admin for us. More choices and better selection of extras for you. Three different sizes available. Just set your preferences for beef, pork & chicken-that's how your share will be made up!
- Allows you more of a mixed variety of each type of meat.
- More chance for a custom share
- Don't eat certain meat? No problem- you can set those preferences to 0 and the will not end up in your share
- This new meat CSA will begin this coming summer season.
Have home delivery?
- Have a cooler on your porch for us to put your produce box in to keep it safe from the elements.
PLEASE Return Boxes & Red Freezer Bags!
We also take back mason jars & 12 hole Egg Cartons
- We like to reuse as much as we can :)
- leave them out your next delivery for the driver to get when they drop off your next order.
- If you are a pick up, you can leave the items at that location and we will grab them.
- If your red bag has a water bottle in it, leave it in! It's an icepack to help keep the items frozen during delivery. We refreeze them and use them multiple times.

Reminders On How The Share Works/ Tips & Tricks
The Produce in the boxes;
- We have a combination of our produce/items & we work with neighbours/friends & other local farm to keep a good variety available for your choosing. *Remember- it's still the winter=less options.*
- Ex. You will see;
- Sweet Potato-Coopers CSA Farm
- Apples- Natures Bounty Farm
- Lettuce- Link Greenhouse
- Maple Syrup- Coopers CSA Farm
- Ex. You will see;
We Sometimes Miss Items...
- We do a lot of counting & packing during the week & sometimes we miss putting an item in a box or in an extras order.
- Just email us! We have accepted that we are only human and mistakes happen.
- If we miss something of yours, we will get those items to you.
- Be sure to check your email for on Friday's for the 'customization' email.
- This is where you can change your share & purchase extras!
- Sundays @ the cut off time (3pm) we close the customization period!
- We start printing orders.
- NO changes can be made and NO extras can be purchased after this.
- Sometimes our emails end up as SPAM. Check your junk email often!
- Know your share & your pick up/delivery day.
- Write it on a calendar!
SET YOUR PREFERENCES!
- Please log into your account and set your preferences for every item we have (yes every item!). This is how the program customizes your boxes. Plus we use these preferences in cases where we need to manually make up your share.
- You can change your preferences any time you want.
