D&V Organics CSA
Week 15
The rainy weather has helped push us closer to the next seasonal phase of the farm, Autumn. The cover crops we planted two and a half weeks ago are growing and looking good, occupying some of the ground we planted our Spring crops on. Over the next couple months, they will have served their purpose and slowly die off as the cold weather sets in. We have been hard at work for the past few weeks getting all sorts of things planted for our Fall season. This week we'll be harvesting rainbow chard for shares, which will be the first of several different greens that are coming up. Our shift in seasons in the coming weeks certainly marks the end of the warm season things, but adds to a greater diversity of produce items.
Enjoy,
Derek and Crew
