We are so happy to be just days away from sending out the first boxes of CSA produce to you this week. It's been an incredibly emotional and difficult week, coming on the heels of a few difficult months. Speaking for myself, I feel more honored than ever to be working in local food and doing my small part to connect people to safe, ethical, sustainable sources of food close to their homes. A box of veggies feels simultaneously so insignificant and so important. At Earth Spring Farm, we really do believe that meaningful, powerful and revolutionary community grows from the ground up, and the CSA is what we have to offer most directly to the people we share this space with. Viewing + Customizing Your First Share
When you click the link to view your share, you'll see a list of items fresh for harvest this week that Harvie has chosen for you, based on the preferences you set - so cool! Our CSA shares are fully customizable, meaning that you're welcome to swap items that you don't like for something you prefer. Each week, we'll make as much produce available as we can, so you have room to make changes. Follow the link in this email, or click the DELIVERIES tab in your Harvie Profile to see details and make adjustments. You have until Tuesday morning at 7AM each week to make any changes you want (always 24 - 36 hours). After that, we'll close ordering for the week so we can harvest, pack, and get your food out to you.
Ordering Extras
You can easily order extras of anything we have available while customizing your order. We'll typically have some extra produce, plus eggs, cheese, meat, coffee, honey, pickles and all kinds of awesome local products that we're really excited to offer to our members. Any extras you choose to purchase can be paid for online and picked up with your normal delivery. Super convenient! I'll be continuing to update our website with more info about our partners and products, so check it out.
Details for Pickup
We'll be sending a few more emails than normal this week, just to make sure that everyone gets all the info they need to have an easy and successful first week of pickups. I'll be sending you info for your specific pickup location later in the week. You can also see your pickup location address and details in your Harvie profile, and even change to a different location if you need to.
Note: If a box is left unclaimed by the end of the pickup day, that share will be forfeited, and we're not able to offer refunds. If you know you can't pick up your share, please ask a friend or neighbor to pick it up for you! Just forward the instructional email to them and let them know how pickup works. You can also place a hold through your Harvie profile on the DELIVERIES page. Members can place holds up to three times, and receive a replacement share to make up for missed weeks anytime during the season. More info about holds and replacement shares in the FAQ!
