Another hot week on the farm before we head into cooler weather...we think! This week's share is full of light and refreshing veggies. Salanova Lettuce is back, along with more tomatoes, lots of sweet and hot peppers, more carrots, and plenty of herbs. Add in some pickles, cheese, bread and meat from our partners, and the possibilities for lovely picnic lunches are endless!
New This Week
Mizuna - mild and tender Asian green, with a flavor slightly peppery like arugula. It's often found in a fancy side salad or a gourmet brunch, so use it with any recipe that could use a little lift.
Truly Pastured Chicken from Horse Shoe Ranch - our newest partner! When Bryan and Brittany say that their birds are 100% pasture raised, they really mean it. Read more about them here. We have whole chickens, whole wings, breasts and thighs for sale with the extras this week.
Housekeeping Notes
We had to dip into our backup stock of our old CSA boxes last week. They're the brown boxes with lids, like this:
PLEASE DO NOT RETURN THESE ONES! We can't reuse them right now. Please go ahead and reuse or recycle them at home.
If you have a stash of the white wax produce boxes at home, PLEASE DO RETURN THOSE!
