I hope most of you were able to come out and dig potatoes this past weekend. We'll have some additional potatoes for shares this week. The greens were great beneficiaries of last week's rains, so we'll have collards, lettuce, and kale in large supply, plus chard later in the week. The new item this week is Brussels sprouts -- most people either love them or hate them, so be sure to set your preference. We're winding down on plums and peaches, and the apples aren't yet in full gear, but we do have melons. And the tomatoes are still going strong.

About the farm
Great Country Farms is a diversified family farm on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Using sustainable growing practices, we raise 50 to 60 crops each year, which we sell to members and visitors. We believe it is important to make clean, nutritionally vibrant food available to as many people as possible. It is our mission to give people a chance to see how their food grows, and we want to preserve the ecosystem of our soil for future generations.
